What happened
personal ive witnessed and lived through multiple bad experiences in regards to childrens social care. here is a list of everything i can think off top of my head.
systemic maladministration, institutional bias, institutional confirmation bias, possible manipulation of safeguarding narratives and thresholds, institutional defensive practice, systemic communication failure, concerns about evidential and record integrity, failure of professional and corporate accountability, failure to protect stable family relationships, and a breakdown in Nottingham City Council's internal mechanisms for challenge, correction and governance.
Impact on the family
this kinda stuff has crushed my ability to be a part of my sons life. ive had to step back to protect my son in care but also my 2 children at home due to all this and the complaints system is a joke. it only protects the council. it dont support accountability of the actions of things i have had to go through.
What needs to change
the entire system needs a true reform and outdated legislation replaced with a more modern approach that stop all this. there needs to be true accountability. complaints to ombudsman and social work england needs to be more recognised instead of being diminshed because we are not a professional.
